Building Collapse in Transport Nagar Traps Dozens

A multi-storey building in Transport Nagar collapsed, trapping around a dozen people. Rescue teams from the NDRF and SDRF have been deployed, and the Chief Minister is monitoring the situation closely.

A multi-storey building collapsed in the Transport Nagar area on Saturday evening, trapping around a dozen individuals under the rubble, according to officials.

The collapse occurred at approximately 5 pm, and the structure was being used as a godown, as per reports.

Rescue operations by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are currently underway to extricate the trapped individuals. Relief Commissioner GS Naveen Kumar confirmed the deployment of rescue teams.

In addition, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken note of the situation and is keeping a close watch on the ongoing rescue efforts.
