Tamil Nadu Boosts Waterbody Restoration with Rs 500 Crore Allocation

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has announced a substantial investment of Rs 500 crore to rejuvenate 5,000 waterbodies across the state, informed Rural Development Minister I Periyasamy on Tuesday.
The initiative is focused on the restoration of minor irrigation tanks, ponds, and their feeder channels in various Panchayat Unions.
The project will be executed in the current fiscal year with active community participation, the Minister revealed in a press release.
