Forest Department Nabs Man-Eater Tiger After Fatal Attacks in Pilibhit
A man-eater tiger responsible for killing three farmers and injuring several others has been captured by the forest department in the Mala Range of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. The tiger was tranquillized and caged. Decisions are pending on whether the tiger will be released back into the wild or sent to a zoo.

The forest department successfully captured a man-eater tiger on Monday, responsible for killing three farmers and injuring several others in the Mala Range of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, according to officials.
Deputy Director Manish Singh of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve reported that the department acted promptly upon learning about the tiger's presence in the area, arriving on the scene and tranquillizing the tiger at around 5 am.
The tiger, now caged, was reportedly attacking farmers in the Banskheda and Raniganj villages after straying from the forest. High-ranking officials will determine the tiger's fate, whether to release it back into the forest or transfer it to a zoo.
In another incident on Monday, a different tiger attacked a farmer named Sujit Rai near Sharda Sagar Dam in the Madhotanda area, leaving him seriously injured. Rai is currently hospitalized.
