Himachal's Wildlife Gets Boost with Unified Ticketing and Conservation Plans

Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, announced a unified ticketing platform for state zoos and the conservation of Spiti's Sarchu Valley. In a major announcement, Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, revealed plans for a unified ticketing platform across the state’s zoos, aimed at simplifying the tourist experience and supporting conservation efforts.

The initiative coincides with the declaration of Spiti's Sarchu Valley as a Conservation Reserve, underlining the state’s commitment to environmental preservation. He also adopted a Himalayan monal bird, encouraging others to support wildlife care.

The government is actively addressing issues such as forest fires and illegal poaching, alongside promoting eco-tourism with the development of an international-standard zoo in Dehra. Efforts aim to protect rare species like the snow leopard and bolster future generations’ understanding of these ecological treasures.
