Delhi's air quality has plummeted to 'severe' levels for the first time this season, registering an alarming Air Quality Index (AQI) of 418 on Wednesday.
Contrasting this, the previous day's 24-hour average AQI stood at 334, reported at 4 pm.
By 9 am Wednesday, the air quality was already 'very poor' with a reading of 366, highlighting the rapid deterioration according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) with 30 of the 36 monitoring stations marking the air as 'severe'.
