A state-owned firm's rescue squad has been dispatched to tackle a construction disaster at the Srisailam Left Bank Canal in Nagarkurnool. The Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. (SCCL) sent a 19-member team to the scene where workers are feared trapped after a roof collapse.

SCCL's advanced rescue equipment, sourced from countries like Australia and the USA, has positioned it as a crucial player in such operations. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has ordered a rapid response, sending officials by helicopter to oversee the relief efforts.

This incident has garnered attention from Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy, who emphasized swift safety measures and medical care for any injured. As authorities coordinate, rescue operations continue in hopes of reaching the trapped workers.
