The collapse, occurring at the 14th kilometer of the tunnel, has made progress perilous. Despite clear paths up to the 13th kilometer, rescue teams are cautious due to unstable conditions and echoing noises from within.

Fresh air is being circulated inside the tunnel to ensure safety as efforts persist through the night. Telangana's Irrigation Minister reported that expert assistance from prior operations is being utilized, with the Indian Army and NDRF teams present at the site, joining coal mining experts in the endeavor.
