A mechanic tragically lost his life following an air-conditioner compressor explosion in Delhi's Shahdara, police reported on Thursday. The fatal incident transpired in Krishna Nagar on Wednesday, around 4 pm.

Employed at a local shop, the 40-year-old was mending an AC unit in a residence when the compressor suddenly blasted, causing severe injuries, according to official accounts.

The injured mechanic was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Footage of the incident, capturing the outer unit's explosion, spread rapidly across social media platforms.
