Tragic Toll of Torrential Downpour in Ranchi

Ranchi was struck by tragedy on Monday as heavy rainfall led to the death of three individuals in separate incidents across the district. The victims, two women and a man, were killed due to lightning and a wall collapse, respectively.
In Sonahatu area, 61-year-old Ramni Devi and 40-year-old Draupadi Devi, along with a buffalo, were fatally struck by lightning while grazing cattle. The unfortunate event underlines the perilous weather conditions encountered during the monsoon season.
The second incident in Bashartoli saw Bablu Oraon, 40, lose his life when a wall collapsed on him and his children, who were returning home from school. Despite receiving immediate medical attention, Mr. Oraon succumbed to his injuries. Torrential rain contributed to the dangerous conditions in Jharkhand.
