In the early hours of Tuesday, a section of a seven-storey building's terrace in Thane, Maharashtra, collapsed, according to officials. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The incident occurred at the Ananddham A Co-operative Housing Society, a residential-cum-commercial building, prompting an emergency response from authorities at around 5.37 am.
The building, approximately 25 years old, is deemed precarious, requiring urgent repairs. Disaster management teams have cordoned off hazardous areas and are working with the Public Works Department to ensure the safety of the residents.
