Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that the government is closely observing the developments, promising all possible assistance to those affected by the downpour.

Since the southwest monsoon arrived on June 17, the region has experienced an unpredictable weather pattern with moderate to heavy rainfall. Abhishek Anand, Deputy Director at the Ranchi Meteorological Centre, noted that the state has recorded its highest June rainfall in the past 11 years.

Between June 1 and June 30, Jharkhand received 348.9 mm of rainfall, significantly surpassing the usual 189.5 mm for this period. The state government remains vigilant as they navigate this challenging climate scenario.
