Tragedy Strikes: Ceiling Collapse Claims Lives in Bihar

A tragic incident unfolded in Ahiyapur, Bihar, where a migrant worker and his two daughters lost their lives after the ceiling of their rented home collapsed. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has left the community in mourning.
According to the Station House Officer Inspector Gurwinderjit Singh, the deceased, Shankar (40), resided in the old house with his wife Priyanka and their four daughters. The tragic collapse also resulted in injuries to Priyanka and their other two daughters, Sunita and Preeti, who were quickly transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the house's mud-covered wooden ceiling gave way due to rain, leading to the devastating collapse. The authorities have urged residents living in similar conditions to take precautionary measures.
