In a heartbreaking incident in Jharkhand's Palamu district, three women lost their lives due to a lightning strike. The victims were sowing paddy saplings in a field near their home when tragedy struck.
The fatal event took place in Jolhabigha village, under the jurisdiction of Panki police station. Lesliganj SDPO Manoj Kumar Jha confirmed the incident, stating that all three women died immediately after being struck by lightning.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination. This incident adds to the worrying statistic of at least 18 people having died from lightning strikes in the district in the recent past.
