Continuous rains early Monday morning threatened ongoing rescue operations in flash flood-stricken Dharali village, Uttarakhand. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a 'yellow' alert across all districts, warning of further turmoil.

Rescuers manually sifted through debris in dwindling hopes of finding survivors nearly a week after destructive waters and mudslides engulfed half the village. Despite four confirmed deaths and missing persons tallying 49, relentless efforts persist.

Significant infrastructure, including a vital bailey bridge, has been partially restored, although the critical Gangotri National Highway remains blocked. Clearing operations are proceeding expeditiously, with functionality anticipated by mid-week. However, red alert warnings loom over specific districts, casting uncertainty on recovery efforts.
