LPG Cylinder Blast Rocks Shillong Residence

An LPG cylinder explosion injured a BSF personnel and a civilian in Umpling Lumdiengmet, Shillong. The explosion occurred in a kitchen on the ground floor of a rented building. Both victims received immediate medical attention, but the civilian required advanced treatment in Guwahati.

An LPG cylinder explosion injured two people, including a BSF personnel, in Shillong, officials revealed on Wednesday. The blast occurred at around 10 pm on Tuesday in Umpling Lumdiengmet.

The injured, identified as BSF's Sandeep Kumar and civilian Subham Cheran Momin, occupied a rented ground-floor apartment where the explosion erupted in their kitchen.

Post-explosion, both victims were initially treated at a nearby BSF hospital before being transferred to NEIGRIHMS. While Kumar was stable, Momin's family moved him to Guwahati for further care. The blast's force shattered windows and damaged nearby structures, though officials ruled out foul play.
