Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the inseparable link between development and environmental protection during a plantation drive, emphasizing the dual focus on growth and conservation. The event was part of the Namo Van initiative at HUDA Sector 9 Green Belt, organized to cultivate sustainable greenery.
Saini, joined by ministers Vipul Goel and Rajesh Nagar, among others, spearheaded the sapling plantation under the scheme. The state government aims to develop 75 such locations across Haryana, promoting environmental conservation through active citizen participation. This initiative signals a return to nature as the state balances development with ecological preservation.
Further initiatives include the Green Aravalli Action Plan, implemented in southern Haryana, covering areas across four states. Ongoing efforts have led to the creation of Herbal Parks, Nagar Vans, and Oxy Vans to foster medicinal plant conservation. These green spaces are turning cities into ecological havens and contributing to the broader green mission.
