Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad addressed the team's loss to Gujarat Titans in their recent IPL encounter, attributing the defeat to their struggle with challenging pitch conditions at Chepauk. Gaikwad mentioned that the unpredictable pace and bounce hindered their ability to adapt and construct meaningful partnerships.

Despite intentions to set a target between 170-180, CSK's momentum was repeatedly disrupted by the fall of wickets during crucial middle overs. Gaikwad, who began with a promising start, noted the difficulty in assessing the pitch, which severely affected shot selection and strike rotation.

Gujarat Titans executed a clinical chase, driven by Sai Sudharsan's fluent half-century and important contributions from Shubman Gill and Jos Butler. GT claimed a comfortable 8-wicket victory, marking their fourth win of the season and climbing to the fifth position in the points table.
