The city's average AQI was 305 at 4 p.m., with high pollution levels persisting at 38 monitoring sites across the region, according to CPCB data.

Despite some improvement, the Centre's Air Quality Early Warning System forecasts little immediate relief, predicting 'very poor' conditions until Saturday.
