A tragic accident occurred early Sunday morning in north Delhi's Narela Industrial area, where a speeding car veered off the road, crashing into a tree and resulting in one fatality and five injuries, according to police reports.
The incident unfolded around 5 am on Narela–Bawana Road near Ghoga Crossing. Upon notification from a bystander, a police team promptly arrived at the scene.
Local residents rushed the car's occupants to a nearby hospital, where 21-year-old Jyoti was pronounced dead. The injured – Prashant, aged 22, Amit, aged 24, two women aged 21 and 22, and a six-month-old girl – are receiving medical treatment. Preliminary investigations suggest the driver lost control, leading to the high-impact collision. The police are preserving the victim's body for post-mortem examination at BJRM Hospital as they initiate legal proceedings and continue to investigate the crash's cause, including potential speeding or negligence.
