The remnants of cyclonic storm Ditwah have intensified into a deep depression, prompting expectations of heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh, according to officials.

Prakhar Jain, Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA), has indicated that coastal Andhra, particularly Nellore and Tirupati districts, will experience significant downpours and winds reaching up to 60 kmph.

The Meteorological department further forecasts moderate rains in various districts including Prakasam, Guntur, and West Godavari, cautioning fishermen against navigating the sea until Tuesday while urging residents and farmers to stay vigilant.
