The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced March next year as the targeted deadline for completing two new Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus depots at East Vinod Nagar and Kirari, according to officials on Monday.
The developments are part of the Delhi government's strategic plan to enhance and modernize its public transport facilities to cope with increasing commuter needs. Last week, PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma chaired a review meeting where these projects were analyzed.
A significant portion of the construction is already finished, with more than 50 percent of civil work completed. The current phase involves building boundary walls, framing depot layouts, administrative structures, staff amenities, and parking bays for various bus types. Weekly monitoring is ensuring timely hand-overs to DTC, aimed for March next year.
