Jharkhand Gripped by Cold Wave: Gumla Records Lowest Temperature at 3°C
Parts of Jharkhand are under cold wave conditions, with Gumla recording the state's lowest temperature at 3°C. A 'yellow alert' has been issued for 11 districts till Sunday morning. The cold spell is attributed to north-westerly winds, and temperatures may drop further before rising in 48 hours.

Cold wave conditions have taken hold in parts of Jharkhand, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reporting Gumla as the state's coldest region at a chilling 3 degrees Celsius.
A cold wave alert has been announced for 11 districts as of Friday, encompassing Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, and several others, with the alert in place until 8:30 am on Sunday.
The temperature drop is driven by prevailing north-westerly winds, and while a further dip by 2 degrees Celsius is expected in the coming 48 hours, temperatures might increase by two to three degrees Celsius thereafter.
