Authorities in the region have intensified actions against unauthorized constructions in the specified area intended for the Noida International Airport's expansion. Police have filed a case against 28 villagers accused of disregarding legal notifications.
The lodged FIR reportedly includes charges under several legal sections, namely the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984. The complaint was initiated by revenue officer Lekhpal Pratyush Rahi Pathak representing district concerns.
Officials claim the illegal construction persists despite clear prohibitions announced in 2022, resulting in financial implications and administrative disruptions. In a similar occurrence, an FIR was also filed against a villager named Samayveer previously.
