On Friday, dense to very dense fog persisted in various regions across Uttar Pradesh, as per the India Meteorological Department's warnings. This weather pattern is expected to continue, notably during late nights and early mornings.
The state experienced dry weather, with no rainfall recorded in the past 24 hours. In Lucknow, the maximum temperature was slightly below average at 19.6 degrees Celsius, and the minimum fell to 5.8 degrees Celsius, two points below normal. Humidity levels ranged from 91% to 54%.
Major cities, including Lucknow, Varanasi, and Kanpur, reported reduced visibility due to the fog. The IMD advises caution during morning and late-night hours, with dry yet fog-prone conditions likely to persist. Maximum temperatures diverged significantly between the western and central parts, contrasting with warmer areas like Bundelkhand.
