At the forefront of groundbreaking research, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has introduced a novel test to decipher the 'quantumness' of gravity. The new test comes amid findings that traditional quantum entanglement-based assessments may fall short in reconciling gravity with quantum mechanics.

Led by researchers P. George Christopher and Prof. S. Shankaranarayanan, the team developed a tool known as Dynamical Fidelity Susceptibility (DFS), touted as being more sensitive in probing the elusive nature of the universe's gravity.

This advance signifies a potential shift in understanding, offering a fresh lens through which experimentalists can explore whether gravity is fundamentally quantum, paving the way for future quantum gravity experiments.
