Telangana's Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed frustration over the ongoing lack of response from Maharashtra's Devendra Fadnavis regarding a crucial meeting. The meeting aims to finalize the height of a proposed barrage at Tummidihatti on the Godavari River, which could impact both states significantly.

Despite suggestions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to amicably resolve inter-state water conflicts, Reddy claims that Fadnavis remains unresponsive. The construction of the barrage could potentially submerge areas in Maharashtra, increasing the urgency of the matter.

During an informal media briefing, Reddy also addressed criticisms from Union Minister G Kishan Reddy about the state's handling of paddy procurement. He countered by arguing that the Central government has not been purchasing enough crops, causing farmer distress. The Telangana government plans to continue providing free power through the Rythu Power Distribution Company to support agricultural efforts.

Reddy rebuffed allegations from the BRS about installing meters on agricultural pumps, asserting that the Congress government is committed to offering uninterrupted free power to farmers. He challenged BRS to reconsider their electoral stance on the issue.
