In a significant development, state-owned NBCC has clinched a work order valued at Rs 5,800 crore for the Rajasthan Mandapam project, set to rise in Jaipur. As per Thursday's regulatory filing, NBCC will undertake the ambitious task of constructing 'Rajasthan Mandapam and allied projects' in collaboration with the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO).

The project is set to enhance the area near Jaipur International Airport, sprawling over 90 acres. Key components include a convention centre, grand expo halls, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), IT and ITES office spaces, premium hotels, retail facilities, housing complexes, and a natural history museum. Public spaces along the riverfront and structures such as a unity mall and fintech plaza also form part of the extensive blueprint.

NBCC emphasizes that the project will advance through a self-financing model, with tenders expected to be floated by April. The company, known for its expertise in project management consultancy and real estate, promises a transformative venture for Jaipur's infrastructural landscape.
