In a significant policy shift, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Friday the decision to digitize the process of approving building plans for residential and commercial projects. This initiative aims to boost transparency and cut down delays in administrative processes.

During a meeting with the Urban Local Bodies Department, Saini emphasized the importance of setting clear deadlines and holding officials accountable for approvals. The meeting also covered the Urban Challenge Fund and future development plans. Special focus was given to improving wastewater reuse systems using treated water from sewage treatment plants, targeting uses in parks, industries, and agriculture.

On infrastructure updates, GIS mapping for approximately 16,000 km of roads has been completed. Saini reinforced the state's commitment to overhaul 2,276 roads with significant financial investment. He warned that negligence and project delays would not be tolerated, underscoring the need for quality and timely execution of development works.
