A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning in Mumbra, Maharashtra, when a slab from a residential building collapsed, resulting in the death of a 70-year-old man.
The victim, identified as Abdul Rehman Hasan Patel, sustained injuries from the collapse of Room No. 202's slab at Zubeda Park Society. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Disaster Management Cell, reported that the building, which is 22 years old, was not classified as dangerous. The Mumbra ward committee and the construction department will decide on further actions pending an audit report.
