In a decisive climate action move, the Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) revealed its comprehensive sustainability strategy on Earth Day, aligning its operations with India's updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). This bold initiative underscores decarbonization, resource efficiency, and responsible growth across its diverse business portfolio.
As part of this ambitious roadmap, DS Group is developing a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory for FY 2024–25, meticulously covering operational energy use and supply chain emissions. This scientific approach allows the company to strategically address its carbon footprint, hardwiring climate considerations into governance and decision-making processes.
DS Group's Vice Chairman, Mr. Rajiv Kumar, highlighted the priority of renewable energy integration and the advancement of circular economy principles, aiming to align all future growth with climate-risk assessments.
