The maximum temperatures on Wednesday hovered below normal limits at most places in Haryana and Punjab. The temperatures hovered below normal by up to three notches in most locations. Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a high of 36.5 degrees Celsius. In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 37.5 degrees Celsius, Hisar recorded a high of 38.6 degrees Celsius, while Karnal recorded a high of 36.2 degrees Celsius. Gurugram recorded a high of 36 degrees Celsius, while Bhiwani recorded 37 degrees Celsius. In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana recorded a high of 35.6 degrees Celsius, Patiala registered a maximum of 38.1 degrees Celsius, Faridkot recorded a high of 35.5 degrees Celsius, while Mohali recorded a high of 35.8 degrees Celsius.
