Tragic School Roof Collapse in Punjab
At least four children died and several were injured when the roof of their classroom collapsed in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, Pakistan. Rescue teams recovered the bodies and 14 injured students were hospitalized. Authorities continue relief operations as the death toll might increase.
A horrific incident unfolded in Punjab's Dera Ghazi Khan as a classroom roof collapsed, burying students underneath. At least four children lost their lives, and several sustained injuries in the tragedy.
The collapse occurred in a private school about 400 kilometers from Lahore, with emergency services responding swiftly. According to Punjab Emergency Services Rescue 1122, 14 injured students were rushed to a hospital for urgent treatment. In a fight against time, rescuers recovered the bodies of four students from the rubble.
The situation remains critical as more children may still be trapped. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed profound sorrow over the loss, while rescue operations are ongoing to mitigate further casualties.
