Delhi Education Minister Joins Public Transport Push

In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for citizens to minimize fuel consumption amid the ongoing West Asia crisis, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood opted for public transportation on Tuesday.

He traveled via Delhi Metro and later used an e-rickshaw for a school interaction in east Delhi. During his commute, Sood engaged with fellow passengers and highlighted the excessive fuel usage typically involved in his official visits, which usually require three cars for him and his team.

Sood's travel began at INA, proceeding to Karkardooma Court on the metro, followed by an e-rickshaw to CM Shri School in Surajmal Vihar. This aligns with Modi's suggestion at a Hyderabad rally to lean more on public transport, including metro rail, carpooling, and electric vehicles, to curb foreign exchange losses.
