Rajasthan Sizzles Despite Brief Weather Relief
Rajasthan experienced a temporary dip in temperature due to recent thunderstorms, yet hot weather persists with some areas recording over 40 degrees Celsius. Phalodi emerged as the hottest spot at 44.8 degrees. The Met department predicts an impending rise in temperatures, heralding severe heatwave conditions in western Rajasthan.

Parts of Rajasthan saw a slight temperature drop on Friday, attributed to thunderstorms over the past 24 hours. Nevertheless, the state continues to grapple with scorching weather, as reported by the Meteorological Department.
While some regions benefited from a cooling effect, temperatures remained high, exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in many areas. Phalodi registered as the hottest location, scorching at 44.8 degrees Celsius. Other cities such as Chittorgarh, Vanasthali, and Kota also saw temperatures above 42 degrees Celsius.
The Met department warns of a forthcoming surge in daytime temperatures with severe heatwave conditions expected in western Rajasthan starting May 16, urging residents to prepare for an intensified heat spell.
