Indian Meteorological Department officials noted mostly clear skies contributed to the increase in heat, and forecasters predict a possibility of thundery developments and winds of 20-30 kmph on Sunday.
The city's air quality remained moderate on Saturday, with a 24-hour AQI of 176, and the Air Quality Early Warning System expects it could worsen early next week.
