Rajasthan is grappling with an intense heatwave, as maximum temperatures hover between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department reported on Monday. Barmer topped the state's heat chart at 45.4 degrees Celsius, underscoring the prevailing severe heat conditions.

The Jaipur Meteorological Centre has predicted that the entirety of Rajasthan will continue to experience dry weather throughout the week. Isolated heatwave conditions are forecast for the border regions of western Rajasthan and parts of the southeastern areas.

Strong, dusty surface winds at speeds of 20-30 kmph are anticipated over the western, northern, and eastern parts over the next four to five days. Authorities have issued advisories urging residents to take necessary precautions against potential heat exposure, as the mercury is expected to remain elevated.
