Leopard rescued from washroom of Veterinary University

A one-year-old female leopard was safely rescued from the washroom of SV Veterinary University in Andhra Pradesh and is being closely monitored at the SV Zoological Park's Animal Rescue Centre.

Andhra Pradesh Forest officials on Monday rescued a one-year-old leopard from the washroom of SV Veterinary University here, an official said.

Tirupati Zoo curator Anurag Meena noted that the big cat was shifted to the Animal Rescue Centre of SV Zoological Park for observation and further care.

''A one-year-old female leopard was safely rescued from the washroom of the clinical complex at SV Veterinary University this morning,'' Meena said in a release issued on Monday.

The rescue operation was conducted under the supervision of Y Srinivas Reddy, chief conservator of forests, and Meena.

Meena noted that the leopard is being closely monitored by a veterinary team.
