The government of Arunachal Pradesh has reached a significant agreement with Greenko Demwe Power Ltd to develop the 1,750 MW Demwe Lower Hydroelectric Project. This marks a noteworthy collaboration with a private developer in the state's hydropower sector.
Located near Lohit river's notable sites, this project comprises five major generating units along with a supplementary unit, aiming to significantly contribute to India's energy capacity. The infrastructure promises strategic connectivity, a modern engineering design, and will facilitate economic growth through job creation and infrastructure enhancement.
