Britain sets 87% emissions reduction target for 2038-2042 period
Britain has set a target to reduce emissions by around 87% by 2042, compared to 1990 levels, in response to the country's energy crisis.
Britain on Tuesday set out a target to reduce emissions by around 87% in the period 2038 to 2042, down from baseline levels set in 1990.
“As Britain faces the second fossil fuel shock of the decade, the only way to protect family and business finances is to drive for clean homegrown power that we control," energy minister Ed Miliband said in a statement.
