The Oakland Raiders signed veteran wide receiver Brandon LaFell and released wideout Johnny Holton, the team announced Monday.

LaFell, 31, was released by the Cincinnati Bengals in early August after two years with the team. He will serve as another veteran target after the Raiders released Martavis Bryant -- acquired for a third-round pick in April -- during final cutdowns.

LaFell totaled 116 catches for 1,410 yards and nine scores in two seasons with Cincinnati, which followed a two-year stint with the New England Patriots. A third-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2010, he has 394 grabs for 5,263 yards and 29 touchdowns in eight NFL seasons.

Holton, 27, joined Oakland as an undrafted rookie in 2016 and played in 31 games (one start) over his first two seasons, catching 11 passes for 218 yards and three scores. He played more special-teams snaps (324) than offensive snaps (281) in his Raiders tenure.

The Raiders also announced they claimed defensive tackle Brian Price off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys and waived defensive tackle Treyvon Hester.

Price, 24, has appeared in nine games over the last two seasons with the Cowboys and Green Bay Packers, making eight tackles last year.

Hester, who turns 26 on Sept. 21, played in 14 games as a rookie last season (one start) after being drafted by the Raiders in the seventh round.

Oakland also announced its final three practice-squad signings in offensive lineman Denver Kirkland and defensive backs Rico Gafford and Terrell Sinkfield. Kirkland, 24, appeared in six games (four starts) for Oakland in 2016.
