Khalil Mack is set to make his Chicago Bears debut in a nationally televised game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night at Lambeau Field.

It will be a one-sided affair -- at least, that is, if you ask Bears defensive end, Akiem Hicks.

"I know those five guys can't block Khalil Mack," Hicks told reporters on a conference call Wednesday.

The Bears surprised many across the NFL on Saturday when they acquired Mack from the Oakland Raiders and promptly signed him to the richest contract for a defensive player in NFL history. The 27-year-old pass rusher has double-digit sacks in each of his past three seasons and was named as the NFL's 2016 Defensive Player of the Year after recording 73 tackles, 11.0 sacks, five forced fumbles, and an interception returned for a touchdown.

The addition of Mack also could free up other Bears defenders such as Hicks, Leonard Floyd, and Eddie Goldman.

"I think the question every team is going to ask is, how do you block Khalil Mack?" Hicks said. "So him being here, it just gives me more freedom to have one-on-ones. ... Can you tell how excited I am to have my new teammate?"

For his part, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers chose not to get swept up in a war of words before the NFC North showdown.

"I don't need to react to every comment that's made," Rodgers told reporters. "I think I've made that pretty clear."

Hicks had one more comment before he said goodbye on his conference call.

"You guys be great, and remember this: Khalil Mack, Khalil Mack, Khalil Mack."
