A bone bruise in Joey Bosa's injured left foot likely will keep the Chargers defensive end out of Los Angeles' Sunday road game against the Buffalo Bills, ESPN reported Wednesday.
Bosa, who missed last weekend's opener, received the diagnosis from a foot specialist, according to ESPN. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport added that Bosa remains week-to-week.
Bills coach Sean McDermott said of the possibility of facing a Chargers team without Bosa, "I don't think it changes much. They've got talented players over there, still. We are very aware of their personnel. They've got good personnel out there, and I think they are a talented football team."
Bosa, the No. 3 overall pick of the 2016 draft out of Ohio State, sustained the initial injury on Aug. 7 in 11-on-11 team drills. He did not play in any preseason games.
Bosa led the Chargers with 12.5 sacks last season while starting every game. He played in 12 games and made 11 starts as a rookie, when he registered 10.5 sacks.
