Kris Bryant not in starting lineup for second straight game

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant was not in the starting lineup for a second straight game on Thursday due to a bruised left wrist.
Bryant was plunked by Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Chris Archer on Tuesday.
Chicago manager Joe Maddon said it was possible Bryant might be available as a pinch hitter during Thursday's game against the Pirates.
Bryant is batting .276 with 12 homers and 49 RBIs in 98 games this season.
David Bote started at third in place of Bryant.
