The Jazz led by as many as 33 points in the first half -- and held a 77-46 halftime lead -- before Milwaukee rallied to within seven just over 6 1/2 minutes into the fourth quarter.

Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo guide Heat past Rockets

Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo combined for 50 points as the host Miami Heat defeated the Houston Rockets 120-113 on Monday night. Adebayo scored 22 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds as Miami returned home after a two-week road trip. Herro added 28 points on 10-for-20 shooting. It was a bounce-back game for Herro, who shot 4-for-17 in his previous game at Phoenix on Friday.

Stars silence Wild to end three-game skid

Matt Murray made 23 saves in his season debut and recorded his first NHL shutout in his fourth career start to help the Dallas Stars to a 4-0 win over the Minnesota Wild on Monday night in St. Paul, Minn. Murray was recalled from Texas of the American Hockey League last Tuesday and started over Scott Wedgewood, who had manned the crease the previous 11 games. Dallas has also been without No. 1 goalie Jake Oettinger since he sustained a lower-body injury on Dec. 15.

Pacers survive Celtics but lose Tyrese Haliburton to injury

Bennedict Mathurin made two free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Indiana Pacers a 133-131 victory over the Boston Celtics on Monday night in Indianapolis. The game was tied with 2 seconds to play when Indiana inbounded the ball to Mathurin and he was fouled by Kristaps Porzingis during a 3-point attempt. After making two free throws, Mathurin intentionally missed the third. Boston rebounded the miss and called timeout with 0.3 to play. Luke Kornet's tip-in at the buzzer would have tied the game, but the ball hit the rim and bounced out.

Despite free-throw woes, Thunder get past Wizards

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points while rookie Chet Holmgren added 31 to lift the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 136-128 win over the Washington Wizards on Monday in Washington, D.C. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Thunder while Washington's losing streak stretched to five.

Michigan's rushing attack overpowered Washington as the Wolverines emerged with 34-13 victory on Monday to snap a 26-year national championship drought and cap an undefeated season. Donovan Edwards ran for two long first-quarter touchdowns and Blake Corum punched it in twice in the fourth quarter for the favored Wolverines, who limited the Huskies' vaunted offense to a single touchdown.

Clippers pull away in fourth quarter to blow out Suns

Paul George scored 25 points, James Harden added 19 points with 10 assists and the Los Angeles Clippers got back on track Monday with a 138-111 victory over the visiting Phoenix Suns. Ivica Zubac scored 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting with eight rebounds and Kawhi Leonard added 17 points as the Clippers used a sharp-shooting first half to get off to a quick start and win one day after they were upended by the rival Los Angeles Lakers. The Clippers are 15-3 since the start of December.
