Athletics-Kenya's Sarah Chepchirchir provisionally banned again for doping

Former Tokyo Marathon winner Sarah Chepchirchir has been provisionally suspended after failing a doping test for the banned drug testosterone, the Athletics Integrity Unit said on Thursday.

Chepchirchir, who won the 2017 Tokyo Marathon, was banned for four years in 2019, backdated to April 11, 2018, because of abnormalities in her athlete blood passport.

The AIU announced the fresh suspension on its website, saying the 39-year-old had been notified of the allegation against her.
