Speed skating-American Stolz breaks men's 1000 metres world record
American speed skater Jordan Stolz broke the men's 1,000 metres world record on Friday at the ISU World Cup event in Salt Lake City.
The 19-year-old Stolz won his race in one minute 5.37 seconds to improve on the previous mark of 1:05.69 set by Russia's Pavel Kulizhnikov at the same venue in 2020.
