Fired India Football Coach Igor Stimac Slams AIFF President

Ousted Indian football coach Igor Stimac criticized AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey, saying his departure would benefit Indian football. Following Stimac's dismissal and the team's failure to reach the third round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, he threatened legal action regarding unpaid dues and expressed frustration over unfulfilled promises.

In a blistering denunciation, ousted Indian football coach Igor Stimac has called for the immediate resignation of AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey, arguing that Indian football is stagnating under Chaubey’s leadership.

Stimac, who was dismissed following the national team's failure to advance in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, has also threatened legal action over unpaid dues. Speaking at an online press conference, he accused Chaubey and the AIFF of false promises and obstructive practices, revealing that the stress had led to a heart surgery.

The Croatian, who had never been sacked in his career until now, also criticized AIFF Technical Committee head I M Vijayan, claiming he lacked the qualifications for the role. The future of Indian football appears uncertain amid these internal disputes.
