Bhatia Shines, Tied-Second at Travelers Championship

Indian-American golfer Akshay Bhatia shot a 6-under 64 to tie for second place after the first round of the Travelers Championship. Korea's Tom Kim leads with an 8-under 62. Bhatia, with four birdies and an eagle, shares the second spot with Rickie Fowler, Will Zalatoris, and Kurt Kitayama.

Indian-American golfer Akshay Bhatia, already a winner this season, impressively shot a 6-under 64 to secure a tied-second position after the first round of the Travelers Championship.

Korea's Tom Kim took the lead with a season-best 8-under 62, putting on a bogey-free display with eight birdies.

Bhatia, also without a bogey, tallied four birdies and an eagle, sharing the second place with Rickie Fowler, Will Zalatoris, and Kurt Kitayama, all shooting 64s at the TPC River Highlands.
