The schedule of India's upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka has been revised, with the start pushed back by a day to July 27, the BCCI announced on Saturday.

The Indian team will visit the island nation later this month for three T20 Internationals and three ODIs.

Originally set to commence on July 26 with a T20 International, the tour will now begin on July 27. The remaining T20s are slated for July 28 and July 30, all at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

The ODIs, initially scheduled from August 1, will now start on August 2, followed by matches on August 4 and August 7, to be held at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

This marks India’s first white-ball bilateral tour of Sri Lanka since 2021. During that tour, India won both the T20I and ODI series under the leadership of Shikhar Dhawan and interim coach Rahul Dravid.

As reported by PTI, senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are set to be rested for this tour. The squad is yet to be announced.

India will also have a new head coach, Gautam Gambhir, while Sri Lanka's interim head coach is Sanath Jayasuriya.
