Indian Grandmaster Raja Rithvik emerged victorious with a silver medal in the La Plagne Open, after a nail-biting tie-breaker. Alongside him, Panneerselvam Iniyan secured the bronze medal, adding to India's impressive performance.

Rithvik tied for the second position with other standout players such as GM Prraneeth Vuppala and IM Dhulipalla Bala Chandra Prasad, all accumulating seven points from nine matches. The event, held from July 6 to 12, had 184 participants representing 17 countries, including 17 Grandmasters and 40 International Masters.

French Grandmaster Jules Moussard claimed the gold medal, edging out the competition with 7.5 points.
